Sony Xperia Z2 Waterproof / Water resistant NOT!

Good Afternoon<br> <br> My 17 yr old son had his Sony Xperia Z2 for 6 months before he was brave enough to take underwater pics at a depth of less than a meter for 3 minutes. he made sure that all ports were closed tightly before he got in & checked again when he emerged. He viewed the pics straight after but half hour later the screen froze. The phone refused to work again. We booked it in with the service provider MTN.<br> <br> The report after 3 weeks, from MTN 1. Beyond repair due to liquid damage 2. Warranty voided!!! To add insult to injury we have to pay R350.00 for the return of the phone! <br> This is simply ridiculous, and beyond belief AND I still have to pay for the contract with MTN.<br> <br> I did engage MTN who emailed back saying:<br> \ I tried on a few occasions with no success.
