SONY MISLEADS PUBLIC

I hereby wish to express my utter disappointment with Sony for false advertising. About 2 years ago I purchased the Song Xperia Z1. During my 24 month contract period I experienced endless problems with the handset. The handset was sent to Sony on numerous occasions to repair. There was a period of 7 months in which I did not have my handset, so basically I was paying for something but not able to enjoy the benefits of it.
For the first time since receiving the handset I decided to use the handset in the pool (02/01/2016). I had recalled that the handset was advertised on TV and media as being waterproof, in addition the salesperson at the store where I signed my contract had demonstrated this to me by placing the handset in a tank of water, and was able to use it perfectly thereafter. Not having spent more than 3 minutes with the handset underwater, the handset switched off and has not switched on since then. This makes me ask the following questions:
Is the Sony Xperia Z1 really waterproof? Why was the handset advertised as waterproof, such false advertising. The tv adverti*****t distinctly shows the handset being used under water.
Why were all the internal seals missing?
