Software upgrade crashes phone
<p>So my Sony Xperia Z5 did an automatic update. Once this was done my apps started crashing and my camera didn't work. I got hold of the Sony Mobile ZA Facebook page and eventually they got back to me. Then someone from Eygyp who I could hardly understand told me what I needed to do. I downloaded Xperia Companion, I backed up my phone to this, I then did a factory re-set, then there was Software repair and then to try restore.... The phone didn't give me an option to restore from Xperia companion, just restore from google account or Iphone/ Ipad.... After fighting with this for about 24 hours my phone is working again...BUT, all my contacts are gone, my apps have been re-set and my camera IS STiLL NOT WORKING!!! </p>

Hmph... A standard email reply. There is clearly no personalised service here. They just sent a email telling me to do what I have already done.... And the phone is still not working properly and I still do not have any contacts in my phone... I think it may be time to change phones to another brand.. This after 20 years with the same brand...
