Phone could not be fixed?!?!?!

I have been in contact with Sony repairs and Sony Xperia Contact Centre since March. I am very unhappy with the service I received. I sent my phone via post (I live 400 km form the repair centre). I had to phone and email around to find out if my phone had been received and hadn't been lost in the post. I was then told after much back and forth that my phone cannot be fixed! And then when I asked if they could send it back to me, I was told to contact someone else and find out how I can fetch my phone!!! I use to have nothing but good things to say about Sony, but now that my Sony phone cannot be fixed by Sony I don't have a good thing to say about them!!!
