Liquid Damaged Waterproof phone

I will never buy a sony product again. I recently sent my sony z1 smartphone to mtn for repairs and they informed me that the phone can't be repaired due to water damage.<br> <br> My phone hasn't been in water for over a year and I make sure all the ports are closed. They informed me the water damage was caused due to faulty ports. This is clearly a manufacturer problem .
