Greatest disappointment ever

I have a contract with Cell C. This device happens to be a Sony Experia E4 Dual Sim. Greatest frustration I've ever experienced with a mobile phone in my life!

Allow me to share my story for the 100th time now- After getting nowhere with Cell C.

I believe this is a manufactures fault or issue as the service provider is unable to sort out this problem- I don't even think they are trying to sort it out anyway, what a waste of time, everytime!

I've had the contract for approximately 12.2 months now and during this time the device blacked out 7 times in total. I reported the problem everytime this happened.

They collect the phone, and a few weeks after that my phone returns and just a few days after that it shuts down again. the same thing happened for 7 times in total of which I;m certain my phone went in for "repairs" 6 times. This is what happens: I'll be making a phonecall, or even just setting an alarm and the phone will freeze, then shut off completely. I started experiencing this problem in February this year up until August. I'd phone in and tell them it's happened again and they will just send the courier to collect.

A few weeks ago I decided this is nonsense and I can't keep having the same problem with this darn device. For crying out loud!!! I'd have the phone for two wekeks, and the rest of the month it's dead again. The "repair centre" states on the QC report it's a software problem and that they have updated my software. a few weeks down the line I'll just experience the SAME PROBLEM. Tell me, how exactly does this work?? When will the "Technician" at the Sony warehouse see that this problem won't go away?! I have a device and still busy paying my contract but I can't enjoy using my phone. Do you know I couldn't even download all my Apps anymore because I was more terrified than anything that it will shutt off again. I had to limit my Apps to a point where I could't even have my banking apps on there.

This is ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS. Cell C told me they are unable to provide me with the contact details of Sony as they have a closed contract with them. I can't begin to explain how pathetic the service at customer care has been ever since I started having problems with my device. I believe it's your responsibility, SONY to sort out this mess. The 7th time, they didn't even bother sending it to the Sony warehouse as they knew they would not get anything out of them.

I have to phone after them to ask where my phone is, no one bothers to stay in contact with me regarding this matter. You and Cell C have a "closed" contract yes, but how does that affect me and my problem? Clearly you don't give a fat about me or my problem. I'm writing yet another complain on hellopeter, only this time, it's addressed to you, SONY- Seeing that Cell C- Like they have told me numerous times alreay that their hands are tied. What about my hands? I don't have a phone and I've been disconnected from everything ever since I realized this problem won't go away.

I love the phone and all it's features, but what's the point if I can't actually use it? I tried going on sonymobile.com or something, but I ended up sending in a request on an automated response page. Great communication tool by the way! (Really?) For the life of me, I couldn't get a contact number? Could be that I wasn't looking at the right place, But can you really blame me?! Frustrated as I was. Fortunately for me, after four, maybe five days I finally received a response. this time, the guy told me I need to send all the paperwork I've ever received from the repair centre. Are you kidding me? I wasn't aware that this will be a permanent problem and that I should keep all the pages safe? What? If I didn't respond in 2 days the complain would be deleted. Hello! thank you very much but how on earth was I going to recover pages from whenever?

Clearly this failed. So hoping that I'd get cell c to do something for me,they also said their hands are tied. I tried asking for a trade-in (because honestly I don't want that phone back, ever! So it can shut off for a few weeks again and I have to go through this drama again? Never. I don't ever want to see that device again!) but they told me at the branch that it will be a waste, because it;s not worth it. Now, I still have a balance on my phone contract and I'm not prepared to get practically nothing.

So much has happened in between. And now, I can tell you with utmost cer*****y that I am tired. Tired of not getting the customer service I deserve, and tired of explaining myself over and over and over again. Cell C should have all my phonecalls on record ever since this started, since they "claim" that the phonecalls are recorded. Also the information from the repair centre. Please get it from them!

This has been my worst experience with a mobile device ever and I can't believe it's taking both Cell C and Sony so unbelievably long to sort out this mess. I look well after my stuff and I pay my account, but to be treated like this? Definitely not acceptable. I hope this is my second and last complain regarding this matter on hellopeter. It seems the response is much quicker when a person complains on this site thatn it is when you contact them. I really expect you to please sort out this problem for me so I can move on.

Looking forward to hearing from you-

Thank you.
