false advertising \water proof"phone"""
I bought a Sony M2 Aqua from vodacom early February. I was told by the salesman that the phone is waterproof and the phone will be covered by its warranty as long as the ports are closed should the phone get water damage. I submerged it in 20cm of water. After drying it i noticed water coming out the charge port and it refused to charge.

I took the phone to vodacom centurion stating that the phone took in water despite the flaps being closed and that the phone is suppose to be waterproof. After two weeks I went to vodacom to collect my phone and was told that the phone is beyond economical repair because of water damage.

Vodacom then tells me that sony deemed the phone a write off because it passed their so called test. I must now drive to sony to get the phones tested again which is considerably far from where i stay. Then i must take it up with customer care. This is not how you should treat your customers especially if you are trying to compete with samsung and the like
