Do not buy SonyEricson Z3

We bought a Sony Ericsson X3 phone for my son through Vodacom. It's been advertise as a waterproof phone . On all the adverti*****ts you see people swimming and taking pictures. On the 8th day after buying the phone the USB port was not working. Vodacom accessed it and fix it. So we assumed everything was good and in working order as it was 8 DAYS into the contract. We went swimming, to enjoy our new wonderful phone. After reading all the fine print, checking all the seals as far as we can see. Within 5 minutes the phone was dead. Waterproof? We took it to Vodacom for repair. The moment they saw the red mark in the phone I was told Sony Ericsson do not cover water damage????? Waterproof phone? Water damage? I got the report back : IRREPARABLE WATERDAMAGE... And that was the end off any service. Not Vodacom or Sony Ericsson is prepared to discuss this problem. So I have a 24 month contract for R400/months and no phone. I want people to know Sony Ericsson do false advertising and no service.
