Rented Trailor Axle broke.

On the 27 February 2015 we hired a trailor from Sonpark Motors in Nelspruit to move our furniiture to Rustenburg. About 60km fromNelspruit the trailor that was rented, axle broke, the trailor start swinging from ones side to another on the road. After a struggle I lost control over my vehicle and trailor and I rolled the bakkie and trailor. My bakkie is damaged beyond repair and the trailor with all my furniture is damageed. I could not save any thing from this accident. I feel that is was a fault from the side of Sonpark Motors and that their trailor was not road worthy. I want advise on this on what to do, I want the owner of the trailor to pay me out on my furniture and damaged vehicle, can you please help me.
