Really dishonest property managers

I am really unhappy with the way this company does business. I own a rental property in a complex managed by Solver and all of a sudden I am charged arrears notice fees and interest on my account if payment is not made within 7 days of invoice date. I also receive statements dated the end of a month with an invoice raised on the first day of the next month but showing the invoice due on statement date. Their finance operation does not make sense. This month I paid my levy that was invoiced on 01 July, on the 2nd of July. I received an arrears notice on 8 July, was charged an arrears notice fee and interest for a FULL MONTH! When I phone them to query this, my phone calls are not returned. Email queries are ignored and I only received a response with no feasible feedback after sending 3 emails. I have also noticed now on this platform that their own staff are submitting favorable reviews on their behalf. The whole experience of dealing with them just feels like they are not honest and trying to take advantage of paying customers. It is just unfortunate that I don't have a choice in who manages my property and I have to put up with their ingenuine approach to doing business

Dear Client

Thank you for your feedback and may we offer a one on one meeting to explain this in more detail? (if this is still a concern). Please just contact our offices to set up a convenient time/date.

In the meantime, herewith is a short response:

1.      Kindly note that interest is charged determined and charged by the complex (Not Solver – we merely carry out the Complex’s instructions). 2.      As for arrears, please be advised that levy statements usually get sent between the 18th - 23rd of each month. These invoices are due by the 1st of the following month (Again this is a resolution taken by the complex - not Solver).  3.      If an owner decides to ignore the invoice, we then are instructed to commence a collection process on the 8th of the month.

The only reasons that we could think of which would lead to you getting an arrears reminder was:

1. Your account was in arrears (Maybe it was not settled in full);
2. OR maybe you used the incorrect payment reference.

Needless to say, we are here to help and you can just let us know when would suit you to discuss in more detail. Thanks

Please lean on us if we can assist with anything else.

Best regards,
