Extra chargers for what.
I have being query an issue with the Body Corporate.
I live in Parkland Estate recently there has been a change with the account admin to Solver properties, I have never been contacted by Solver Properties to advise they are the new account managers. However my levy account has been in arrears without contacting me telephonically or email they have handed me over to the lawyer, I have request to sign and AOD to settle my arrears they have gone ahead and charged me an extra R10 000.00 for lawyer fees and also put my electricity on a 80/20 split.
I have requested Solver properties to product proof they have tried to contact me and I ignored them but they cannot prove anything accept a letter from the lawyer with no signature.

In short,
1. In terms of the Sectional Titles Act, levies are due and payable by the owners. If you happened to have changed your email address, did you notify anyone? Where did you continue to pay? Unfortunately, even without a statement, the owner still has a responsibility to ensure their accounts are kept up to date (Same as your rates and taxes).
2. Solver's collection department only hand over to attorneys if they had sent reminder letters / LODs / SMSs to the owners advising them of the same. This of course would be based on information on file (going back to point 1 above).
