Misleading Information and Lack of Support for Individual Certifications

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Soltech. During their open day, we were clearly informed that students have the option to either follow the full IT programme or pursue individual CompTIA certifications, and that support would be available if assistance was needed. This assurance influenced our decision significantly. However, my recent experience has been completely different from what was promised. My son is currently unable to progress because Soltech has refused to provide exam preparation materials and exam tokens, citing incomplete lab work. These labs could not be completed due to challenges he encountered — precisely the type of situation where support should be available. When I raised this, I was then informed that Soltech does not provide support for students doing individual certifications, which directly contradicts what we were told during the open day. Is that not the point of an educational institution, if you don't want to support students,, don't make it an offering?

This is both frustrating and misleading:

This has resulted in a complete loss of trust. We will not be continuing with Soltech for certification-based learning and will be moving to an institution that provides clear communication, transparency, and actual student support. I strongly urge prospective students and parents to: 👉 Get written confirmation of support structures 👉 Be cautious if pursuing individual certifications This experience has been disappointing and avoidable if expectations had been clearly and honestly communicated from the beginning.
