Solidarity not fighting for members
I am really disappointed in the way Dana Grove from Solidarity has been dealing with my CCMA case and salary issue. I was unfairly dismissed from my work at Gold One Modder East in July 2023. I was suppose to receive my salary but then Gold One said I owed them 21 leave days, this despite the fact that my payslip that I still had leave days available. Our first date at the CCMA was on 15 August 2023. The issue with my salary was brought up. CCMA gave Gold One instructions to sort out my salary. It is almost a month later and it still hasn't been sorted out. According to info received from Ockert Fourie, Enza Olivier did a recon with the limited info she had and I only owe 7 days. Mind you, this might change if they had access to all the info Gold One has. Apparently a request was made to Gold One to allow Enza access to all the info but up until now, nothing has come of this. This, despite the fact that Dana Grove has been in meetings with Gold One HR? Why has the issue with my salary not been sorted out? Is Solidarity not suppose to be fighting for me? I have been a member for so long but now that I need Solidarity to actually fight for me, nothing. If Dana Grove is not willing or able to fight, then please send someone who is willing to stand up for what is right. My salary issue needs to be sorted out. It is beyond ridiculous that it has taken more than a month. It shows how arrogant Gold One is, they don't even care about the fact that this was a direct instruction from the CCMA. We are currently waiting for the arbitration date from the CCMA. Ockert Fourie is keeping me updated about this issue.
