Non-existant service backup.
I spent R80000 on a solar panel kit with batteries and an inverter a year ago with this company. The inverter developed a fault in August of this year and I had to phone the company several times (they kept telling me they would phone back) for help in fixing the problem. When I eventually got to talk to the technical person, they said I must remove the inverter and send it to them by courier and they would test it. They said it was not under warranty (despite being less than a year old) and that it would only be fixed free if it was a manufacturer fault, which it could not be as it had worked for 10 months no problems. So I was basically left to fix it myself, at some cost and effort.
