We bought a LCB 5.12kWh 100ah 48v battery from Solar Wholesalers. They postponed delivery twice and each time I had to re-schedule technician for installation at my own expense. After actual delivery, I had to make a new appointment with the technician which took longer than anticipated. Upon installation, the technician discovered that the battery delivered was in fact a 24 Volt with a 48volt sticker on. At closer inspection he removed the tape from the box to discover that it was conveniently taped over. We refrained from letting the battery collected and insisted on replacement. After being promised a refund, we allowed the company to collect the ********** battery. After collection, we received the following mail from the supplier: Good Afternoon Mr Snyman

I hope this email finds you well, this email herby confirms that we collected the lithium battery from you on the 5th of July 2022 in a tattered condition and according to our technician the battery was opened. I have attached the pictures on the email. The battery was delivered to you on the 6th of June 2022 and on the 21st of June you told us that you had received a different battery of 24 volt instead of 5,12kwh battery.

Furthermore we then asked that the battery be collected from you and you would receive your refund within 21 working days as per our policy states . We were out of stock of for the LCB batteries and would have to wait for 35 days for new shipment. You then said you would prefer waiting for the new stock to arrive rather than receiving a refund and we have this on record. Furthermore you stated that you did not want our company to collect the battery and said the battery should be collected when the new battery arrives for an exchange however that against our company policy.

The battery was in your possession for 30 days and it was collected from your possession with dents and scratches now we have to sell it as a secondhand which is half the price. Our 100ah 24v lithium batteries retail for R12899 and you are liable for the R6488 in damages.

As of today the 7th of July 2022 we will commence with your refund but will recoup on damages the amount outstanding will now R10 499 that we will refund back to you , within 21 days as per our return policy. Please provide us with your banking details for the refund payment.

They sent a few pictures of the alledged tampering, but NO concrete proof that it is in fact the battery delivered to me. I have pictures of the battery reading as well as the 48 sticker on the battery and the taped over box.

We have bank notification of R10 0499-00 but refuse to acknowledge their allegations for the deduction of R6 488.00 for for alledged damages.

Any one that can be accused of tampering, will be the Company that knowingly delivered the wrong item in the first pace.

Can you please help me recover the amount that was *******ly deducted from my refund with NO concrete proof except for a few photos that can be of any other battery.
