8 month old Solar System failed!

Had a 5KW backup system installed on the 19th of April 2023 on the 16th of December 2023 the UP5000 Pylontech battery supp**** by the installer failed and gave an alarm. (8 months old)

Contacted Mr. Brandon on the 20th of December, he informed me they are working and scheduled a visit on the 22nd. Waited the whole day no one showed up. At 3pm I received a message that something came up, rescheduled for the next day.

Battery was tested they confirmed it was firmware and can only be sorted out in the new year.

2nd of January I sent a watsapp was informed he is at the Vaal on holiday and the firmware update “will not happen very soon” and he will sort it out around the 9th/11th.

Since then no updates, follow ups. All phone calls, messages etc. were from my side.

I had to acquire a new battery, as it seems they refuse to honour the warranty for a replacement/repair and update the firmware even tried their suppliers who refuse to deal with the public.

I am awaiting a third party inspection and report to proceed with legal proceedings.

I am not unreasonable but we are approaching February and my income depends on electricity.
