Solar and Inverter Durban

I had an issue with my inverter and contacted Solar & Inverter Durban (Mr Dev Naidoo) to assist in repairing it. I took the inverter to him for an assessment which carried no charge. After a week, Dev gave me a quote for the repairs and we agreed for him to go ahead and repair the inverter.

After 3 days, my inverter was supposedly ready for collection and invoice sent for payment. We agreed that I'll make the payment at his store/workshop and only after testing the inverter. "Stories" started from this point forth as communication from his side started to slow down and excuses started. Because his address (28 Viola Road, Overport, Durban) is in a residential area, I asked for us to set up an appointment for me to come through, test the inverter and pay the full amount due. This NEVER happened, as he became "busy" with other clients.

I paid 50% deposit and only after this he responded BUT now my inverter was not working at full capacity because fans are not working optimally and suggested I take an inverter (with the same capacity and function) which he had refurbished at the same cost/price agreed. I agreed and I visited his "workshop" at 3 Greenridge, 51 High Street in Pinetown and met a guy by the name of Nathan (the technician). To my shock and surprise, the refurbished inverter had much less, not even half the capacity of my inverter, even Nathan agreed that the two cannot be compared. I communicated this to Dev and following this more stories came through, now my inverter (bought new) had previously been "worked" on (which he and Nathan never mentioned before) and that some components were changed. After a number of follow ups and getting excuses, I was told that they have ordered parts for the inverter and delivery should be soon - this was done without my knowledge and no agreement/consent from my side. This was the last communication I received from Solar & Inverter Durban which was on the 22 November 2023; calls and WhatsApp messages were not responded to to this day.

Solar and Inverter Durban effectively STOLE my inverter and 50% deposit that I paid. Solar and Inverter Durban - A WOLF IN A SHEEP'S CLOTHING!
