Poor after service help, solaradvice

Installed a Sofar Hyd 6000 Es, with 3.6kw dyness battery in 2021, mainly for loadshedding, the installer (sent by solaradvice) was clueless on how to properly setup the inverter, all my appliances worked fine during the first round of loadshedding, but after a break of six months, I have to switch off all my appliances and can now only use my basic lights and tv, the inverter continuously trips when my fridge and freezer is not switched off, solaradvice has zero customer care, they suggested I get help elsewhere and the installer refused to check my system even when I offered to pay his travel expenses, now just stuck with the load shedding kit that I spent R40000 and no help seems to be forthcoming.

Hi Harold

Compliments of the season.

Your system was installed nearly 2 years ago and has been working for the majority of this time.

As discussed in November of last year you mentioned a number of high powered appliances that you had been running on the single battery you have.

We advised the below:
-A single 3.6kWh battery with a 0.5C discharge should only run small loads like fridge, TV, lights, modem. nothing larger.
- Do not run induction stove and entertainment system.
- add an additional battery to your setup as you are wanting to run more from the system
- If you want us to check the battery under warranty follow returns process on our website, I also sent you the link.

You mentioned the state of health of the battery shows 100% indicating that the battery is fine. This then points to the loads that you are trying to run from the battery are high and causing the system to trip.

Reviewer Update
In the process of trying to get a reputable electrician to check possible earth leakage within my system, but at present cannot fully utilise the system, only using lights and tv, have to switch the power off for all appliances including refrigeration, and during loadshedding only 230w/h of power is used from the battery cannot use any other appliance.

Hi Harold,

Thanks for your time on the phone earlier.

As discussed, once the electrician has been out and check the wiring please let us know.
