Bad Experience. No communication!
I purchased the fusion inverter and battery with 6 solar panels on the 24th of August, After 2 weeks of no movement or any form of communication on the order I called and they told me that the battery was out of stock ( the site said in stock) and that I need to book the installation via a link in the email they were supposed to send me, up to this point no comms received other than thank you for the order. Once booking email was received the only booking date available for the installation was the 12th of October ( 50 days later, the site says 5 to 7 working days). Monday the 10th October I called to check if everything was in order, they said a virtual inspection was supposed to done. They then send the site inspection email, managed to book for the same day as installation. The products arrived the day before the installation but they sent the incorrect battery which would result in a +- R7000 loss. Sent incorrect batteries back. The day of the installation the installer arrives with no battery which the sales team promised, well after the installers arrived I get a call from the sales lady to do a virtual site inspection, bit upside down according to the journey charted on the site . Kudos to the Installation team who despite the incompetence of the sales team did a neat and professional job. I will not recommend purchasing anything online from this company…not yet…. They have work to do.
Apologies for the experience you have described above. This is really not the way things normally work in terms of sequence of events.
Booking of your virtual site visit and or installation date would have not been holtered due to stock. Stock might have not been available at the time but would have been on order and arriving within a 5 to 10 day lead time at the most. If stock is outside a 2 week period we mark it out of stock on our website.
At the time we were experiencing stage 6 load shedding and this pushed the installation dates out much further than they would have normally been. Our website advises that an order can be delivered to you in a 5 to 7 day period and that installations can take 2 to 3 days to complete. When we are doing the installation ourselves, the stock is normally delivered the day before so that you do not have to store all of the equipment until the installation date.
The batteries that were sent to you on the first day were correct. The Fusion 10.24Kwh Hub is made up of 2 x 5.12kWh batteries in the Fusion cabinet. These items are sent loose and then put together and wired on site. Each battery weighs 43Kg and the cabinet a further 15Kg, hence the reason it is easier to handle each individual component on site. As you had requested the removal they took the equipment to the warehouse and put it together and then returned and completed installation. I am not sure how this incurred a +/- R7000.00 cost?
Thank you for complimenting our contactors and the installation they provided this is always great to hear.
Best regards,
