A real review of Solar Advice.
I am posting this to prevent anyone else from falling into the trap of the "small text"
Unfortunately they have phrased the product description so well that we fell for it. We were under the impression that we are purchasing quality Axpert Inverters, when in fact we were purchasing "Axpert Type" Inverters.
On 25 Jan 2021 I reported a problem with the Inverters which I bought in January. A software error was suspected and I requested a software update. I was refused and advised that the software is up to date.
The next step we were advised to take is to send the inverters back such that their technicians could have a look. We subsequently requested a time line as this was a surmountable amount of money that we spent.
Granted the support team is very support over the phone, they stay very vague in their emails and to this day we have not received an answer.
This has been one of the most misleading and unsatisfactory experience I have had in my five years of purchasing and maintaining my home solar system.
I do hope this review can assist other who know very well the expenses associated with solar system to avoid this particular supplier.
After this was posted on Hellopeter, they agreed to refund me and arranged to pick up the inverters. Changed their minds after one day and requested that I deliver the inverters in person to their shop which is 300km away from me.
At last the inverters were picked up after another Hellopeter post. Then they managed to have the post deleted, as my wife who is the Financial Director of my company, posted it.
I was refunded, but only the amount excl the VAT, which I paid and is now denied the refund of the VAT. No replies to my emails.
I registered my own profile at Hellopeter now and plan to proceed to refer the matter to SARS.

You specifically requested for "Axpert Type" inverters, this is a common term in the solar industry, the fact you didn't understand this was on you I'm afraid.
"I was refused and advised that the software is up to date." to say you were "refused" is completely untrue, we contacted the supplier and you had the latest software, we relayed this to you. Never once did we deny you of this, this just doesn't make sense.
"Granted the support team is very support over the phone, they stay very vague in their emails and to this day we have not received an answer." your rating of 1 star contradicts this statement, you mention "vague" but nowhere were we ever vague, it was merely you being very difficult and demanding a refund because you realised your purchasing error. Instead of allowing us to try to rectify the situation you felt the need to review us on Hellopeter instead.

" I very much doubt that we called you multiple times to help you, we organised an expert to help assist with your installation, you got everything you asked for, including a refund.

This was your error and we lost money on both the inverters, shipping costs, installer assistance and hours spent dealing with your request.

We were still working with you at that point, we went the extra mile and paid to pick up the perfectly working inverters that you were unable to install, we didn't have to do this but we did. Our Terms and Conditions has all this detail with regards to refunds.

You are clearly being vindictive by trying to tarnish our reputation, I'm not sure why because we've bent over backwards for you.
