Traumatizing water bill

My water bill Skyrocketed from around R300 to around R3000 without watering the garden or number of occupants increasing but instead the numbers decreased. I've tried to solicit an explanation but without any luck. My account used to be up to date and would even pay more but as we speak my account is so bad I never check it anymore because the amount I owe is so so traumatizing. Please assist.
