I dealt with Finrite for years and got a replacement phone even for more than insured for. You want to give me an inferior phone. To make matters worse for a Samsung A34 you want to charge me more than Edgar's price.I had a dual network and now you want to give me locked phone. This is *********. Please sort this out.

We passed on your details to our claims team, who have confirmed that your device was insured for R5000 and your claim was approved for that amount. If the make and model of your insured device is no longer available, our policy is to replace the insured item with an item of similar features, value, and quality.
In the case of your claim, the Huawei P30 LITE was discontinued, and the next available option is the Huawei Nova Y71 dual sim.
If you choose a Samsung A34, valued at R7999, a betterment amount of R3000 is required as its value is more than the insured value of your device. We base the replacement cost on the prices given to us by Edgars, as the supplier, and unfortunately, we cannot negotiate these prices.
We do hope you understand and we look forward to settling your claim as soon as possible.

We do understand your frustration. Unfortunately, the reduced prices that you might have seen are special offers from retail stores. As we use designated suppliers, whose prices are based on the correct market value of the device, we cannot base your claim replacement costs on special offers. We do hope you understand.
