No Gaz Refills for Sodastream

If you are thinking of buying a Sodastream water carbonator, think twice.

We drink a lot of soda water and by carbonating our own filtered water we would prevent a lot of unnecessary plastic bottles ending up in our recycling bag.

The intention was good but practically it does not work.

We struggle to find CO² bottle refills, in Port Elizabeth, for both our models 30 and 60 Sodastream carbonator systems.

On two occasions, we found that the cylinders were empty when it was time to replace them and SPAR Newton Park refused to replace them because I no longer had the till slip. Needless to say that we no longer shop at Newton Park SPAR.

So, unfortunately it is back to the dreaded Soda plastic bottles.
