Socrati Sandton City NOT Adhering with the National Consumer Commission Laws

I did a lay-buy on a shoe, on Saturday the 13th of June 2020. Upon arrival at work on Wednesday 17/06/2020, we were told that the company is closing down due to loses caused by COVID-19. I immediately called the store, wanting to cancel the lay-buy; and asked to speak to the owner, who literally refused to come to the phone, and instead told the sales lady who had answered the phone initially, to tell me that, it's not his business that I had been laid off; RULES ARE RULES _ Didn't I read the receipt. I immediately checked the receipt and it read 'CANNOT BE CANCELLED OR EXCHANGED.' I then called the National Consumer Commission and asked them about the latter. They immediately told me that, there is no such a rule, SOCRATI is infringing on my consumer rights and they will take on the case. So be careful guys when doing business with SOCRATI Sandton; all they are interested in is your money, not your consumer rights!
