Outragious product mark-ups and bad information.

I phoned them to enquire about coming to put some sensors in the house and link our garage remotes to our alarm system and I specifically asked whether they could do it with any remotes which they said yes. On arriving and sorting out the sensors, they informed me that I'd need new remotes which they could supply @ R450. I thought it was quite expensive and said I don't really have a choice as they were there already there. They finished the job and the next day I went down to the local locksmith where I could buy the remotes for R150. I called them to enquire why the remotes were so expensive and they said that that was the what they charged. I called and spoke with their GM (Fayruza Pietersen) over as she never called back after leaving a message a week before. I said I felt like they should've given me the correct information when I'd asked if the remotes would need to be changed, I could've done the relavent research and could've got my own remotes for a 3rd of the price. I don't believe I wasn given that oppurtunity. She said they'd followed protocol and couldn't help. It's not the money, but the pricipal that they think it's ok to force people to pay exhorbitant prices.
