Unreasonable returns policy

I bought 2 retractable sunshades. They have to be cut to size so it’s not just an “ open the box and fit”. Cutting was very difficult so it took a few attempts and days to get it right. I only used one and was going to use the other on another car. After 2 weeks of use, the one I had fitted broke. I tried to return for a replacement but was informed that the return can only be done within 7 days. I hadn’t even fitted it by 7 days. Almost any ******* lasts 7 days. Pathetic support and CPA rules allow for 6 months to return. I will be contacting and reporting them to CPA.
