Shoddy and Tardy service by Snatcher
I am at my wits end with this business.
On the 6th of August I ordered and paid for three items from them via their online portal.
Two weeks after with dead silence from their side I wrote them a message via Facebook.
To my morbid fascination and frustration, I discovered that the headboard and powerbank I ordered were available, but they were still sourcing an ergonomic laptop desk with wheels.
I indicated that I accept this as a valid reason, however if they were au fait with A-Z of customer care, they should have informed me via email and cellphone about this delay. Those details were provided on the order form.
I then asked via messenger around the 20th that they should keep me updated. To my disappointment, this hasn't happened.
Yesterday the 25th of August I wrote them an email which was responded to with a standard "an agent will contact you soon" pacifier. My word!
What this tells me is that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing because the person who responded to me on messenger was a little bit reassuring. The email response was impersonal.
What I am left with now is to wait for another week before approaching the National Consumer Commission, Consumer Goods Ombudsman and any other public body that protects online clients in RSA.
My advice to others is to stick to onlinr etailers that care about their reputation like Temu, Shein or Takealot.
If you want furniture pieces stick to manufacturers like www.bajooun.co.za or https://koopfurn.co.za. A normal furniture shop like www.fairprice.co.za offer hassle free online merchandise with regular updates on orders. Don't be fooled when you see something unique at Snatcher and order immediately. Rather find who else in this free market economy has the same item.
