NON DISCLOSURE OF PRODUCT STANDARDS.

i recently purchased an emergency car kit, (fire extinguisher, tow strap , first aid and warning tri angle). the extinguisher is not SABS approved and will not be checked or service by any fire company rendering it useless, the first aid kit may suffice in a play ground, the tow strap looks OK but that remains to be seen when actually needed and the triangle is functional however it does not have any approval markings and may not be accepted by the traffic authorities. My opinion is that South Africa was used as a dumping ground for this kit. Gray imports of cars is banned surely non SABS approved items should also be banned or at least snatcher should make the consumer aware of this so that we the buyers can make informed decisions regarding purchases.
