SNAP CHANGE ENGINE IMPORTERS 8 6th ave Elsies River Industrial C.T DOES NOT DESERVE THE ONE STAR LONG READ LONG ROAD OF BAD SERVICE WARRENTY JOB APPROVED R37615.83 DEALER BILLED AND PAID BETWEEN 150K AND R200K We are holding snap change liable for defective work done on our H1 van for numerous reasons. Purchased a H1 Hyundai H-1 2.5crdi van and done our first service in oct/nov 2023 and was informed that the fuel injectors would need to be replaced which we replaced at our cost but was informed that the 4th cylinder had a compression problem,.(November 2023). The dealership was contacted to see to the repairs needed as the van was purchased in September 2023, would do a warranty claim and send for repairs at snapchange .The H1 was dropped off at the dealership on 21 November2023 to get it repaired by Snap change. Coenie took possession of the van on snapchanges behalf. The feedback from 21 November 2023 till 8 feb 2024 was not very detailed. 29/11/2023 claimed the new injectors were faulty, going to replace with a claim and diesel pump is ******s and will be replaced 23-12/2023 still waiting for the claim to be approved.10/01/2024 injectors had been replaced. 1/02/2025 awaiting head bolt and clip on leak off pipe do not want it to shoot out on injector 18/03/2024 Coenie called saying that they are in a tight spot the warranty company was sending an assessor out before they will authorize the work to be done and they had the van in the store room stripping all the work done and replacing all the old parts 09/04/2024 van was apparently ready to be delivered by the 12th still no van and Coenie mentioned they were supplying refurbished part which I was not happy with as what guarantee would they carry ,by 17th still no van 16/05/2024 they had stripped the engine AGAIN and were reassembling21/05/2024 had starting problems said he had changed solenoid and lift pump, H1 del 23/05/2024 starting problem told to ‘GLOW’ IT ,van went back to snap change ……and on and on it went van was even collected on a flat bed on 25/05-2024 lie after lie from coenie Requested all parts and invoices, copy of the warranty authorization to see what was actually approved as well as invoices above what the warrenty had approved that they had been billing the dealership for… By June it was decided that the work that needed to be done a farber coach works would be done then van would go back to snapchange. The van was taken to farber but next day would not start so Coenie from snapchange collected it again but did not inform me. 6th June I went to snap change to find the van stripped again. 11th June 2024 van was ready for collection at Farber coachworks ,Justine and myself went only to find that it was smoking excessively way over what is allowed on our roads.Justin from dart took the van his feed back was …smoking a lot, feels underpowered (turbo) and surges at when stopped at robot. Back to snapchange..13/06/2024 Message from coenie forwarded to me ….H1 turbo is on and sorted(not the first time)we did however have a thread issue on one of the bolts that could create a oil leak so thread guys came out to sort out will need to assemble the bus AGAIN…….. 19/06/2024 van delivered with a cracked windscreen a old battery by 24/06/2024 had big oil leak which we called in to report but all messages where ignored 26/06/2024 aircon not working but claimed it was repaced and regassed, When dealing with Coenie it soon became apparent things were not adding up.Coenie let us all believe he was a partner in snap change. 19 June 2024 feedback was they would be starting the van,did not happen 24/June 2024 van was started but they changed gasket and awaiting it to reassemble This is when I realized that things are not right ,I eventually got copies of some of the invoice they had sent for payment to the dealership and noticed they were not billed by snap change.I was not happy with the work done or the massive oil leak on a engine that had been pulled at least 3 or 4 times and lack of paper work and replaced parts so refused to sign off that snap change could be paid, until I had be given a itemized statement of work done parts replaced and what garauntees/warenties they carried Unfortunatley at this point due to medical reasons (heart procedure and recovery after been discharged with wrong dosage heart medication) I could not be contacted or deal with this, I was home end September 2024 with a lot of recovering and trying to get high bp under control. While I was in hospital Coenie then approached my designated driver at home to sign off assuring him it was legal.Snapchange was paid out.Warrenty claims were submitted by snapchange and snapchange was paid Once I was well enough to deal with this I found out that snapchange had been paid out and I was sitting with a van not fixed with a massive oil leak. I called Snapchange and asked to speak to Coenies partner Kossie to be tranfered to Arno workshop manager .By questioning Arno I was told that Coenie was not a part owner of Snapchange Yet he was allowed to work on a snapchange warrenty claim supply and bill for parts that were not authorized work and billed the dealership under another name, Kosie claimed he was totally unaware of all this.My van and work to be done was intrusted to snapchange .I contacedt Rmi in may 2025 and was sent a Request for Facilitation form,Kossie agreed to a meeting between us to try resolve this matter as all paper work was submitted by snapchange to graphite the warrenty company. Myself,my designated driver,Kossie and Arno had a meeting where Kossie agreed to get my van 100% as he had a feeling the work carried out by Coennie would come back and b!te him on the @ss as it appears that even though snapchange done the warrenty claim they allowed Coenie an independent mechanic working out of snapchanges workshop to carry out substandard work and bill the dealership for parts that were never returned to me as requestd. Snapchange took possession of the van in may 2025 to rectify the bad work done When the van was returned it has a massive oil leak and once again no responsibility is been taken and no call returned. No reconed engine ,as they are claiming was done, should have a single oil leak.January 2026 the van went for a service and we asked for a quote to fix the oil leak but unfortuantley it was on the injectors that snapchange replaced, There is no way that any workshop would walk past an unauthorized person working in their workshop allow them to strip a engine they are “reconditioning” 3 plus times or allow them to work on it if they had not yet submitted the quotes, reports and warrenty claim to graphite yet.All these extra faults and bills were not mentioned in snapchanges quote or report and not by the graphite assessor that was sent out Breakdown of parts billed for and timeline of documents which I only received from warrenty company may 2025 Vehicle was never a non start until work was carried out at snapchange, Before warrenty claim, quotes and reports was submitted 6/03/2024 till 3/04/2024, Claim form dated 6/03/2024, Snapchange report 11/03/2024 stating low compression cylinder 4 THE ONLY REASON A CLAIM SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN, Quote snq1593 11/03/2024 R68871.59, Claim authorized 03/04/2024 R37615.83, Tax inv sn2642 signed off not by myself, Release note signed off not by myself, Pop payment made to snapchange 23/11/2023 New bosch injectors and 2nd hand diesel pump R59750.00 After claim approved Flywheel 23000.00 Shortfall on engine recon 22750.00 Engine recon 72885.00 Recon turbo replace my battery 15280.00 Was reconditioned or replaced but no parts were returned as requested Engine pulled at least 3 times ,Cylinder,Glow plugs,Fuel injectors and coding, Pistons small ends rings and big ends mains thrust washers headbolt kit, Head set without head gaskets bottom set Intake/exhaust valves and guidesRoller rocker intake and exhaust arms cam follower/hydraulic lifters timimng chain kitHead sent to engineers twice head bolts twice head gasket Supply and fit 2nd hand Diesel pump ,Oil pump,Turbo pump,Water pump,Aircon pump replaced with used,New battery ours was replaced with a old battery,Solenoid and lift pump,Radiator replaced with 2nd hand,Flywheel,Lifters, starter We had a teams meeting where it was suggested that snapchange put in an insurance claim to resolve this matter with RMI as facilitator in march/april 2026 .It was suggested that snapchange put a claim in and have a independent assessor make a report. Kossie from snapchange was sent a questionair to complete but to date 30/7/2026 has not done so….the way they operate delay delay delay so time frame elapses We have taken great KNOCKS TRYING TO EARN MONEY WHEN THE VAN WAS AT SNAPCHANGE FOR SUCH A LONG PERIOD AND CAME BACK IN A WORSE CONDITION TO DATE 30/7/30 WE ARE STILL FIGHTING
