Smith & Co Juwelers, Put Zero effort in valuations

I am a bit disappointed in Smith & Co Jewelers Welkom. Over the years I have purchased quite some jewelry, watches gold chains gold jewelry watches etc some time passed and have to give insurance companies updated values of my jewelry, I absolutely hate going out and do stuff like that, it gave me no pleasure asking for valuations and replacement values but it is things only jewelers can give and my insurance insists on valuations every 2nd year. I got a surprise that my gold chain is not worth R2400 anymore….but now way more R50 000. My dog damaged the certificate, I went back a day later and asked if they could print another I will pay for the special paper Esh what a resistance I had to ask 3 times, Now today I asked for a valuation of a Pulsar Kinetic Sport Watch 100m DN Smith The previous jeweler at the location sold the watch to me years ago R6900 Now the Smith guys don’t want to give me a valuation as Pulsar is not in South Africa anymore. They still overseas but they can’t give me a valuation… Let me be clear I did not ask for a replacement, just what is their opinion on what it is worth aka valuation. Jewelers are limited in Welkom, Jewelers you can trust is even less. What I am trying to tell you is that you don’t make my life easier and have to travel 200km just to get to another jeweler. I am a bit frustrated and I will not buy from this company again or get valuations from them again. I trusted DN Smith but not the Co anymore.
