Received an SMS from a Debt collector Smit & Genote with message 'Urgent Notice for outstanding Hosp acc with their ref no and amount of R150.00. No further details like which Hospital, date or Invoice. I immediately telephone both Hospitals which confirms nothing owing. I requested statement to be sent via email. At the same time i took the opportunity to confirm with hospital accounts that Smit & Genote are currently the debt collectors for the various Hospitals in Cape Town. They confirmed. If that's the case the hospital's must be getting many enquiries and what are the managerial staff doing about this on going *****. People are being ****med on a daily basis, as a government entity they should be following up on the ***** being committed daily. We like sitting ducks just accepting the situation the country's in very frustrating. Whom do we contact to stop this from carrying on?......Who has the expertise to advise us as I'm hell bent on taking this further.
