SMG Durban - Far from 'SA's most trusted motor group'

On the 21 October 2016 i purchased a vehicle from SMG Durban and up till now have had the most terrible experience.

The vehicle was purchased and with 5 minutes of taking delivery the car had a terrible shudder, i called the dealer and was told to bring it back on Monday as it was late on a Friday. Understandable, and i agreed only for Monday to come and was told its the vehicles balancing and thats for my own cost. Which is quite pathetic as they delivered a vehicle to me as a customer with a problem.

A month later we discover the vehicle has had body work done to it and the front bumper resprayed. When this was raised with SMG we were told it was not possible. When i brought the vehicle in to SMG i was told that the marks on the bumper are new and i caused them, Which is ****, i then went through the pictures takes before we drove the vehicle of the showroom floor and the marks are visible in the picture when they suddenly changed their tune and said they will sort it out. - Again pathetic.

It is now the end of January and up till now we have recieved no joy from SMG Durban or BMW SA.

It is pathetic that a dealer such as SMG Durban has no interest in sorting out an issue. As a customer i am appaulled by the manner in which a group that calls themselves 'SOUTH AFRICA'S MOST TRUSTED MOTOR GROUP' has dealt with this.

I urge any others who are buying a vehicle from the SMG Group to ensure the vehicle is actually not damaged or put it through their own tests as hey can't seem to do it themselves.

SMG Durban certainly not what i would trust...
