BMW reset all your car settings every time !

I had my BMW serviced for its annual service just last week. When I got the car, the workshop has completely deleted all my settings I managed to set over time, e.g. shortcuts to radio stations, mirror settings, and many many others. The BMW software system is very difficult, user-unfriendly, and laborious to work with, so it takes me ages to get the settings right. I work hard and do not have the time to play around with my vehicle settings, and I specifically asked them to leave my settings alone. I am so upset I just want to get rid of my car and BMW as well! Can you believe this !!
