No, it's clean
A severe leak at an incoming line at my water meter was repaired. After I drained the pit, another small leak at a polyprop elbow was evident and another call was logged. Emails with a video were sent to Ekurhuleni as well. After about 68 hours a delegation arrived at my house. Among them was a representative from SMEG the consultant whose brief was to confirm a suspected ******* connection ! When it became evident that there had been no foul play, the representative phoned Lewis at SMEC to report that the meter “was clean”. Lewis's response must have been “Are you sure; it must be an ******* connection” or something to that effect because the representative kept on saying “No, it's clean; I've checked it thoroughly etc.” How much intelligent or common sense does it take to work out that one's monthly consumption CAN be less than 3kl litres per month depending on the number of consumers and the water conservation measures in place ? As an Australian citizen, I am ashamed that a company with such a proud history in the Snowy Mountains can also employ such an idiot.
