Vehicle supposedly started bt engine broken.

On 04 April I bough a Toyota Corolla 2014 from SMD Boksburg as a starter. I'm located in Cape Town and after 2 weeks car arrived in Cape Town I noticed engine was broken (sump, block, crank) as a result of the accident. I immediately contact Boksburg branch to bring it under their attention and Mr Gilbert said he'll forward complaint to manager. On the 9th I it took me 15 calls just to be able to speak to manager as I was told it's BIG Branch. After 4 days I called them and it was said the car started twice at Smd and there is nothing they can do! What NONSENSE!!!!!! I'M REALLY STARTING TO BELIEVE THEY SAYING IT'S A STARTER TO GET MORE MONEY FOR VEHICLES! I then sent vehicle to Toyota on my expense and they confirmed in writing that the car could never have started after accident and attached a 100k quote just for the engine. Once again it's been again 4 days after sending report and quotes but once again no one of SMD even got back to me.

If you buy a vehicle stated by SMD as a starter you surely don't expect engine to be broken! Can the matter please be attended and resolved as a matter of urgency.

Hello Armien,

We would like to confirm that the vehicle you bought is a salvage accident damaged vehicle, and on the two occasions SMD started the vehicle, it did start.

However, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we invite you to bring back the vehicle for a refund.

Kind regards
SMD

Best regards,
