Our Standard Operating Procedure, and agreement with the insurance companies; is to get written authorisation to remove any items from vehicles before we can do so.
In this instance, you had replaced the factory fitted sound system with a new sound system, which was not part of your insurance claim and became a 'Parts to be removed' requested item by yourself.
We apologise if Fifi did not seem sympathetic to your request, however, she was following standard procedure.
Your insurance company has agreed to release the new sound system back to you, on condition that you return the factory fitted system in order to restore the vehicle to its original state.
Kind regards,
SMD
