SMD wants to **** me
Can someone please assist me I have bought a vehicle on the 23 May 2023 and made payment on the 24th and when I went to collect the vehicle I realized that it is different from what I saw on the pictures of the vehicle, it was previously repaired and it was a cut and joint and I didn't see any of these in the pictures. I went to the branch on the 29 May and I had an argument with the branch manager when I told her that I did not want the vehicle anymore and I was told that the issue can only be resolved when the system is working. Now that the system is working it looks like there is no one to assist me instead I have to come and collect the vehicle I told them that it had wrong pictures and there was no note to let me know that it is a cut and joint. I managed to bid for another vehicle when I asked them to transfer the sale of the car that was bought in May, I am being transferred left, right and center and I was told I need to pay for the new sale or else they are taking penalty whereas I paid the difference and my issue is still not resolved. No one is willing to resolve my issue but they want to cancel my sale and take penalty even though they have my money with them I need this matter solved because collection keeps on telling me about penalty but the service where I have send my query is not giving me an answer on when my issue will be resolved, instead I am being transferred to different people telling me the manager is not in when I am requesting to speak to one. This was indeed a terrible service received.
We apologies for the inconvenience caused due to the process and who we are , We are a Salvage entity and we Auction Salvage Vehicles. We put vehicles up for bid and clients interested on the vehicle bid against each other and the highest bidder will then receive a proforma invoice. Viewing before bidding is encouraged and welcomed so a client can know what they are bidding for. All clients are required to accept the terms and conditions before participating in the auction
Please use the link https://www.smd.co.za/terms-and-conditions to view terms and condition sale point number 5 for more information.

I have waited for feedback from the branch as I was told by service that my issue was sent to them and I have never received any response until today when I was told by Semakaleng indirectly that SMD has the right to advertise the vehicle with wrong pictures and it is my responsibility as a client to know that the advertised pictures might not be true.
