SMD Sandton theft, *******ion, stinking attitude and terrible service

I paid for a vehicle on the 1st of December and submitted the proof of payment to Sandton branch, and before I could collect the vehicle it was readvertised and sold to someone else. I was told that SMD cannot locate my payment but immediately after the car was sold to someone else all of sudden I was told that they can see my payment.

I went to the branch again to get help on the matter, but I was given terrible treatment by the branch manager and the lady called Gloria. The manager refused to talk to me

We have investigated the matter and have the following information to provide you.

The vehicle in question was on timed auction via our Online Daily sales channel from 25 - 30 November. You were issued a proforma invoice with specific instructions to make full payment by 1 December 2-16 at 15h00. Failing which, our standard terms and conditions is that customers forfeit their deposit.

SMD waited an additional eight days before allocating the vehicle once again to our Online Daily Sales channel on 9 December 2016, and was then sold to a member of the general public and not 'a friend of the manager' as you allude.

Our Finance Receipting Manager has again received your proof of payment and attempted to allocated your funds with no success. Your Standard Bank payment to our First National Bank account does not show, and you will need to take the matter up with Standard Bank as we have no control over this. SMD cannot receipt a sale based on a proof of payment when funds are not in our account.

Sincerely

SMD
