SMD forcing me to buy for more lots.

<p>Good day,</p> <p> </p> <p>I wish to share my disappointment with everyone about poor service from SMD Auctions in Boksburg. I attended an auction yesterday on the 7th June 2017. I had in mind all the cars I wanted to bid as I viewed them and even started them a day before. On the auction day, I managed to win one car when the.auction was about to finish and I immediately went to the counters for invoices and payment. I got I shock when the bill came to a double on the amount I bid for, thats when they informed me that I did bid for 2 cars and I should pay for both of them. I tried to explain myself that I only won just 1 car and that's what I wanted as we say it yesterday. They played a recording and it also supported their statement that my number was indeed used for the two cars. Now I would be forfeiting my deposit as I am now prepared to settle both cars. I tried to explain that the person reading aloud numbers of the bidders obviously called my number instead of the rightful winner but all was falling to deaf ears. The guy reading aloud numbers read aloud mine and the staff recorded that as the winner. Pity no one knows their numbers of heart. Do I have to 100% stay focused through out the auction just to make sure my number is not been called and recorded by mistake? Nor have to stay until the auction finishes just to make sure my number is not been recorded in my absense. Their rules says that if your number is used, then you are the bidder, even if they yourselves makes a.mistake there's no turning back. Now.the poor guy who won that bid that they claim its mine, would be turned back away because he also cannot proof that it was him and on my side if I dont take his car then I looses my entire deposit. My lot that I definitely bid for, is double the lot that they forcing me to take, it makes.no sense of me not wanting to take it. I am not a first-time at SMD, I know-how vital is to bid on multiple lots. I did inform SMD head office and Kelly McCreadie from HQ forwarded my email to Patric Kietzmann of Boksburg who rep**** to me this morning with the same rude attitude just like the Boksburg SMD admin staff that its what we have on records that your number was recorded, therefore you are the one who did for them and you must pay the whole lot COB today. I had my wife with me all the time, even when viewing a day ago, we have notes on the cars to bid and SMD to now say we either pay or forfeit we find that very rude and unfair. SMD is a big organization, very lil can be done on such minor issues as mine, I encourage management to organize video recording to ovoid such issues. I thank you.</p>
