Delayed payment due to lockdown

I would like SMD to allow me to pay off the vehicle I bid on the 26th March.I tried going to the bank and transfer the balance but soilders asked me to turn back as buying car is not an emergency. I stay in a semi rural pudimoe north west. By the time I made it to the bank after the stipulated time ,I was charged R3,300 penalty an the pro forma invoice was removed. I don't mind bidding for another car if the be I'd bid for is sold.
