****** CAR SOLD TO ME .

I bought a car in 2022.I sold it this year to someone else.It was taken from the buyer as SAPS found that it was ******.The vin number was engraved in top of the previous one.I have called numerous times and even went to the branch that sold it as well as the head office. There is no update or feedback on the request for a refund. I have provided the detective's number and all the info I have as well as even offering that I go with a representative of SMD to where the car is at my cost ,but to this day,I am still waiting .My calls are dropped when I try calling. What make matters worse is that this is not an issue that needs police clearance as the car belongs to Standard Bank on the grounds of them having paid off the previous owner, but I am being ignored.

Good day,
Regrettably, our customer service team was unable to reach you at the provided cellphone number and was directed to voicemail. We are actively working to resolve this issue with the supplier and will furnish updates once our discussions with the subject matter expert (SMD) are concluded.

To ensure seamless communication, an SMD customer experience representative has been designated to provide you with updates. You can anticipate receiving their name and contact details, and they will make further attempts to reach out to you.

Kind regards
SMD

I tried returning the call many times but the person who called does not pick up. What do you mean by supplier ?
The bottom line is that the car was ******.One can simply go and confirm with SAPS.Can you not refund us and do your investigations without us bearing the heat for it ?

Good day

Thank you for the reply.
The reports were sent last week but today I was told that there is another one needed. It would help to ask everything at once.
Iam honestly not understanding but just at your mercy.
Once you get the reports from SAPS what is the logical explanation for saying that you must contact SANTAM to get their side of how the error happened and to source funds from them ,when you can repay us and deal with the issues without us being involved because the witch-hunt is not going to bring us the car back?

Thank you for the response. I unfortunately will consider seeking legal advice next week as my own efforts have been unfruitful. We will let the law adjudicate on the matter ,since I am dealing with arrogant people. How is telling me that the matter can take 3 to 5 weeks or more trying your best?
I have negotiated in good faith as well as not even demanding repair costs hoping that SMD would do the same ,should I go that route I will not be settling for the bare minimum I have been trying to get.
