On 24 March 2021 , we bought a Dell i7 laptop from Smarttech Solutions. Martin Vincent assisted my husband with this sale. We went home and that very day found that the laptop does not work if not connected to the wall plug. On the 26 March 2021, we took it back to have the battery replaced. Martin said it would take about a week, but we could use a replacement laptop which was a Dell i5 in the meantime.

My husband, Christo has been calling them regularly since then to find out when he could get the laptop back. He has spoken to so many different people including Martin Vincent, who says that they are either the owner or a partner or just the sales person, but the laptop was always with the technical team being repaired. We have recordings of all the conversations and numerous emails regarding this. We eventually decided that we want a refund and they can keep the laptop. Today, 3rd August 2021, they told my husband that they will not refund him and they still not saying where the original laptop is that we bought.

We have now lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman as every step taken by this company goes completely against the Consumer Protection Act.
