Smartlab accepted full payment for a device that they should have repaired for me. I had to take it in a second time, as it was not repaired the 1st time. The second time after testing it at their premises they said that it was not repairable and gave it back to me. I also handed in another phone that day for repairs and said that they could go ahead with the repairs, and that we could then sort out any credits / shortfalls with the payment for the first phone that I made ... I had to pay in full for the second device, and they refuse to refund the first ... Saying that I should bring the device back in order for them to remove te "repaired" parts ... They issued me with a letter for insurance purposes stating that the device is not repairable (knowing full well that I would have to give the device to the insurance when making a claim) - now I do not have the device in my possession any longer, and they refuse to refund anything !!! Why did they not remove the "so called" REPAIRED parts the day that they issued me with a letter stating that it is not repairable ? I am not leaving this matter - taking it to the Ombudsman and the small claims court as well if I have to.
