Pathetic "service provider">Smartcalltech

My dad received a sms on the 10/07/2017 from" Smartcalltech"i.c.w services they offer. My dad read the message and closed it and within 2 seconds he received a "Welcome message"He couldn't understand why he got a welcome message as he responded to the message. He decided to check his airtime and realised he has less airtime after this welcome message. My dad checked his airtime again on the 11/07/2017 and again on the 12/07/2017.He then realised that it's this company deducting airtime for a service they offered him that he never agreed to.I called the company and spoke to a lady by the name of Yvonne and she insisted that my dad signed up on the 10/07/2017 and that she was going to send me an email with proof. The email she sent does not say that he agreed.I responded to her email:

Good day Yvonne,

As discussed with you telephonically this morning ,my dad never accepted this offer and never got a chance on the 1st sms to respond to the message and he was immediately sent a welcoming message from your company.

Your company has to refund my dad with the R42.00 that was deducted from his airtime. After speaking to you this morning I googled your company and I am disgusted with what I read.

Why does “Smartcalltech” deduct airtime from people with no approval/confirmation from the customer’s side???
This is so sad.

I do expect a call from management w.r.t this matter by tomorrow.

I never got a call from management but I got the following email instead:

From: ********** **********
Sent: Thursday, July 13, 2017 10:04 AM
To: Darryl Mc Lachlan ********** />Cc: Yvonne Chauke ********** STS Unsubscription ********** ********** />Subject: Re: **URGENT MATTER**

Good day,

thank you for your e-mail.
In previous e-mail we sent you a proof of subscription and explained subscribing process.
As we mentioned, you or someone with your phone subscribe on 10/10/2017 via Buzzylife service.
We are not monitoring your browsing or web access. But Welcome message is sending only if and when customer subscribe. As a proof of subscription.
That message contains information about service name, price, support number and instruction how to opt out.
However, we do not wish to provide negative experience with you as a customer. That is why, even everything was properly from our side, we will refund you R42.00.
Kindly provide us with your banking details and we will process your refund in 5-10 working days.

Best Regards,

High Gable support

July 12 2017 5:06 PM

>They are insisting that he subscribed but he didn't.I googled the company and noted all the ***** taking place..

So in total R42.00 +another R14.00 was deducting thus far and they mentioned in one the emails that they stopping the subscription,it's still ongoing.

How do you trust them by giving banking details?????

My dad would like his airtime re-imburse and to make people aware of this ****.

I'm not sure if this is just done to pensioners,it's so sad!!

"Pathetic ,pathetic,pathetic"
