Smart Movers - Never

We were moving from Wilderness to Hillcrest in Natal. Never had such a horrible experience as with Smart Movers.!!!!! I have a grand piano that had to be specially crated . Which they did and was good but in disassembling the piano they broke a crucial part in the pedal pedestal and kept quiet. I now have to get a part from Germany to fix the pedals. They subcontracted to another company H&M removals and between the two no one was prepared to take any responsibility. On the day of the move, towards the late afternoon Justin informed us that he misjudged the volume and cannot fit all into the van. He would only be able to collect the balance the following week. OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!! It took TWO WEEKS for us to get all our belongings delivered. It all came in bits and pieces. The piano was the first to arrive, but without the legs. After two weeks only did they deliver the legs. And said they are not responsible for assembling the piano. I had to contract a specialist to come and assemble it and to discover that the pedals were broken. Justin was rude and uncommunicative. The guys working for him had no uniform or any identification of Smart Movers. In fact we recognized the one guy as a street person from our village. Some of my furniture pieces were broken and badly chafed SMART MOVERS _ NEVER AGAIN!!!!
