SMART INSURANCE

So it started weeks ago when i had an incident where my car was scratched and like usual i contacted smart insurance to assist me as i was told when i baught the car at Reeds that i have a limit of R3000, 00 per month to fix my car. I sent them pictures and they informed me that the damage is over R8000 meaning i have to get my own quote for a cheaper price. To cut the long story short, i have done three quotes now and they still not assisting me with this regard. The first quote i did at Executive Panelbeaters was R3200 they said it was incomplete as it did not state the charges for the fender yet i explained to the consultant Shauvoughn that the repairer was going to fix it. He just didn't include it as the expense i have to use is R3000, 00. I was forced to make a requote and ensure that all body parts are included. I knew from the onset that the reason for this is merely because they want the price to be higher so that they won't be liable to fix it. As expected the price for the second quote that had all body parts as per Smart Insurance instruction was R4800. And like expected this quote was declined as it exceeded the initial R3000 limit.. I called one of their consultants after the claim was rejected and i specifically asked if i could go back to the Panelbeaters that i did with the quote with if they could decrease it as long as its within the price range of R3000. Luckily i managed to get a requote of R2900 which consisted of all the body parts and was within the price range. Now i just received a call saying that they are rejecting this claim because it was manipulated and I was supposed to go to another Panelbeaters.. Mind u it was the same people that said i could go back there and ask for a lesser price. Mind u the contract i have with Smart Insurance says nothing about going for a requote at the same Panelbeaters.. I have never experienced such problems when claiming with them but have heard how Smart Insurance tends to use minor excuses so that they are not liable for any changes. I can't wait to change my car, il be sure to stay away from Reeds and will use this as example to other potential clients. Others, i have recommended this car brand because of the dents and scratches policy.. So disappointed at how everything was handled. I knew they were just giving me thw run around to avoid fixing the damage.. Thank u smart insurance for ur assistance. Continue playing with people's time and emotions.
