Rotten meat at Slug and Lettuce Paarl

<p>We went to Slug and Lettuce in Paarl tonight, because we wanted to go somewhere new. We all ordered steak (28 days matured rump). When the food was brought to the table, all 4 of us noticed that something smelled really bad. The smell reminded me of rotten/decomposing meat (which I have smelled before, in the medical setting). I took one bite of my steak and I immediately knew it was spoiled meat. I asked the other people at the table if I could taste theirs to compare. Two steaks were okay and another one tasted a bit funny, but mine tasted very bad. We called the waiter and he removed the steak. Five minutes later, the manager comes over to our table. He asks us what is wrong with the steak and I told him that I believe the meat is spoiled. He told us that it is not spoiled and that he thought it smelled fine. He said that it probably tastes strange to me because it is 28 days mature and that it can't be bad because all the steaks were cut from the same piece. He asked me if I want another steak and I declined. He did not apologise and he did not admit that something was wrong (even though everyone agreed and the waiter even admitted the steak smelled bad). I asked the waiter if he has the contact details of the owner or someone in charge above the manager and he said he did not, but he gave me the restaurant's business card. We paid and left. It is now about 2 hours later and I still feel nauseous. Spoiled meat is dangerous, especially when an ******** manager is in charge. </p> <p> </p>
