Worst 8 year experience a the Slopes Fourways! Unfriendly staff

Our visit to the Slopes at fourways started off horrible for my 8 year old son.... We had a 11:15 booking for 2, for my husband and son, and whilst we confirmed booking and signed the indemnity form, my son walked over the ice cream counter only to meet a RUDE, UNFRIENDLY, NOT CHILD FRIENDLY STAFFF!!!

This woman saw my son looking into the ice cream counter and shouted rudely "hey", my son turned to her cos shocked and the she said "it is locked" very rudely....what she didnt realise that I was watching him and watched and heard her speak rudely to him.

Slopes is meant to be child friendly and adults need to use good manners and, be polite to children, not everyone speaks to children like dogs!

I approached my son and asked if he's ok, and turned to the lady and told her that there is a better way to speak to children like "hello boy, can I help you" and not scream "Hey!"

Surely if we can afford to pay for R320 for the experience we can afford to pay for paddle pop ice cream! I was extremely upset that this woman works in the service industry with children speaks this way. My husband was furious hearing this, we do not speak to our son in this manner, in order to get respect you have to be respectful too.

When my husband complained to the guy at the beverage counter who didn't see or hear this woman, became defensive, my husband asked for a manager and was told there was no manager and the all the staff manage the place, he then asked for camera footage since he denied the woman's behaviour, whilst the woman realised that she spoke rudely to the wrong child, she then apologized to me saying that she may have used the wrong tone and she have spoke nicely to him and her tone was not right and apologized.

The man at the beverage counter went into the store and spoke to the man inside with a yellow t shirt, this man in the store who didnt see or geat anything whist sitting inside, was rude and defensive and told my husband that some parents don't know how to discipline their children, this woman was not in the wrong.... he went on without listening and my husband walked away.

Gosh, how do you employ people in the service industry who are rude and arrogant and ******! Mind you if we were white, we would never have this experience!!!!!

I will be posting on social media, hello Peter and my son's school which is in the area, other parents will hear about our experience!

The only staff that should work at Slopes is Bheki and the few guys that control the area at the slope, these guys understand children and are kind and polite... The rest need to change their jobs!!!!

Worst experience for my son! Never again Slopes!!!!
