SLIK Consumables - ******* Alert!

I was contacted by the Slik Consumables on numerous occasions early in February 2020. The more I said I am not interested ,the more I was bul**** into buying their products. That was my exact words to the sales lady - you are a real bully. Somehow some way she persuaded me!

Just to get the sales lady off my back, I agreed to test their Fabric Softener and Laundry Pre Spotter (priced at an exorbitant fee of R569.25 each). I own a laundromat and their sales pitch was that their dilution ratio is 1 part concentrate : 500 parts water. So with one 5L fabric softener I could fill 100x25L containers of fabric softener (I knew it was too good to be true - and even laughed at the sales lady when she pitched that to me) BUT nonetheless i ended up buying the products - i fell for it (and i will never forgive myself for this!). PS: I was also advised that I would receive a R200 gift voucher which I could use at any store of my choice – it’s a debit mastercard – and my POS machine doesn’t even pick it up. It’s a dummy card.

Nevertheless, the materials arrived, I tested the fabric softener and diluted it as per their ratio. So as per their dilution, I only needed to take ONE teas**** of Fabric Softener Concentrate and dilute it with 25L Water (JOKE). This would give me an entire 25L Fabric softener to work with in my laundromat. I’m sure we all know that was not the case. It turned out to be such an inferior product – a 25L of water basically. And THAT I could definitely not use in my laundromat. I was told their products are so highly concentrated that i would be saving so much money. Load of bull - it was just a normal standard fabric softener.

I spoke to a gentleman (he called himself the Manager) and then insisted they collect their product as everything was based on lies. The manager (very rude) insisted that it was delivered so I need to pay otherwise he will call his lawyers.

As the day progressed, It became clear that the manager was getting annoyed with the fact that I did not want to do the payment. He then started to harass me for payment. I kept on insisting that they need to collect their chemicals because I refuse to pay for an inferior product that does not hold up to their promises. The manager kept on saying that I need to pay asap. Out of desperation I take it, the manager then advised that if I pay R900 he would then settle my account. I refused and joked that I will only give him R500 – And once again out of desperation he quickly said that if I make the payment within 5 mins they would then settle my account – that was his exact words “settle your account”.

Two weeks later (04.03.2020), my business received a call stating that I needed to pay the remaining balance of R638.50. Out of pure anger and disgust I followed up this call with an email stating that I don’t owe them anything. The manager I spoke to previously then called me after that email claiming to be a “lawyer” - calling on behalf of SLIK and I need to ensure I settle my account (Of course i knew his voice from our previous calls - did he think i would fall for his lies again?!) Of course I told him to buzz off. He then proceeded to call my business continuously for an entire 2+ hours. Each time I end the call he would call back. He called more than 30 times to my business land line – making it impossible for me to assist clients and keeping my line busy for that duration. His words to me was “I can do this all day long”. Pure harassment.

These people are selling inferior products at exorbitant prices – and they are the most ********* company I have ever come across.

Please do not fall for their sly and conniving tricks!
