****ed on unfair treatment
We bought a bed in April last year 2018 April for my mother. The bed was delivered at home. Three months after delivery the bed started the matress ha default and we reported to the store, (Sleepmasters West Street Durban) The Matress was exchanged and the new one was delivered
That one also had defects and we reported again in January and also it was exchanged. At this sytage we asked them to exchange the whole bed explaining that we were not comfortable anymore with Restonic. I was informed that I could not exchange it with any other product but they can only replace the matress which they did in January 2019
In March I reported again that the mattress was again giving us troubles. And also they should note that my mother is 69 years old and sufferes from Vertigo and this bed was not stable for her. I was told that I should Bring the bed to the strore at my own expense to exchange it. I told them I will wait for when I get money and bring it to the store. On the 26th I called saying I had money and I was coming for the bed. I was then told they had sold the one I had chosen and I should wait for them to cakll me and tell me when to come.
Whole of April I called and enquired about the bed until I was told it has arrived, At that point they asked me the condition of the mattress which I told them it was bad. and they told me I could not bring the bed and they will lodge a formal complaint.
On Tuesday I got a call from Micheal Restonic telling me I need to pay R450 Warranty fee. I then called the store and asked about this. They told me that because the bed was now under warranty and not guarantee I had to pay the fee, and also the store will deliver Restonic to me and I will have to hire a car to bring Restonic to the store to be exchanged for another brand of the same amount.
